I use a very special strain of mushroom in my guidance sessions; The Tidal Wave Penis Envy. Ok, get your laughs out, but this mushroom is no joke. It won the 2021 psilocybin award for the highest psilocybin content ever recorded at the time. These fuckers are strong. I didn’t even know mushrooms could win awards until I did my research on the strain. In my years of purchasing mushrooms I have never come across Tidal Wave Penis Envy. I’ve had experience with albino Penis Envy (very popular with my customers) . When I get a hold of a new strain, I do some research so that my clients (and myself) know what they are getting. Also, I’m just a nerd about psychedelics in general, hence a whole blog post on one strain of mushrooms.

Ok, let’s get into the REAL nerdy shit. If you’re educated in the world of psychedelic mushrooms you know there are 100+ strains. If you had no idea, guess what? There are 100+ strains! The Tidal Wave Penis Envy is the product of crossbreeding two other popular strains; B+ and Penis Envy. The strain was developed rather recently by Mycologist Doma Nunzio in 2017. There are also several spin off strains. Tidal Wave 2, Tidal Wave 3 Beast, Tidal Wave 4, Tidal Wave 5, and Tidal Wave BXO. 

Don’t just kill your ego, drown it.

This strain has about twice the amount of psilocybin as your average mushroom (after several of my own trips I can confirm). Let’s discuss how psilocybin works on the brain. The compound itself is biologically inactive, but it’s converted by the body to psilocin. Psilocin is chemically related to the neurotransmitter serotonin and it activates your serotonin receptors. If you are currently on an SSRI, you probably need a larger dose, or worse case scenario, it won’t work at all. Every brain is different. I had a guidance session recently with a client who is AuDHD. I gave her 2.5 grams (equal to 5 grams of a normal mushrooms). In the psychonaut world, this large of a dose is referred to as a “heroic dose”. My client felt nothing. I was shocked. I’m currently doing more research on how the autistic brain acts differently on psilocybin.

I’ve been blown away by my own trips on these mushrooms. I had a closed eye visual journey where I visited different dimensions, initially with the help of a spirit guide, until I accidentally scared her away (whoops). She appeared to me at the beginning of the trip and led me down several tunnels in order to arrive at her dimension. It was a glowing, sunlit space, but the sun wasn’t a judgmental asshole like our sun. Our sun looks down on us. It burns us and blinds us. This sun beamed up, and had soft hues of orange and yellow that were easy on the eyes. It played light shows in the sky for me. Gravity didn’t pull me down in this world. I felt light, but not to a point where I was floating. Then suddenly, a wall of fire was before me. I felt at home. I felt happy, whole and at peace. I said, “Yes, this is where I belong.” I saw the face of my spirit guide, with an expression of shock and fear. I guess I scared her away because after that I didn’t see her again. As I melded with the fire, I felt myself sitting on a throne. My black claws began to grow; longer and longer, until they curled around my body. Molten gold began to pour around me. Then, I saw a large metal door in the distance coming toward me slowly. I could see different symbols carved into it, but they weren’t any symbols that I recognized. It moved towards me until it was upon me. Then, it melted into my body. It was a spiritually healing experience. I had visited a dimension where I held a certain amount of power. A home base in the spirit realm. I joked with my friends, “I guess this means I’m the queen of hell!” Hey, why not? There’s more to the trip, but you’ll have to ask me in person.
